Are you ready to make a real difference and actively participate in a movement that changes lives?

The ComeHome Association is looking for dedicated and passionate volunteers to join us as facilitators for our information evenings and workshops, both online and offline. In this volunteer role, you will have the unique opportunity to play a key role in our mission to bring to light the dramatic stories of deported Ukrainian children and how our work gives them a voice and hope.

Why is your role so important?

With your support, you can help raise awareness of the terrible situation of Ukrainian children who are being held in extreme conditions in Russia. The human rights violations they are suffering are a crime against humanity and you have the chance to educate the world and raise compassion. You will be part of a dedicated community of volunteers and professionals who work tirelessly to help these children and their families.

What can you expect in your role as moderator?

You will lead events and workshops aimed at educating people about the critical situation of deported children and the important work of the ComeHome Association. Your voice will help create emotional connections, highlight the plight of the children and convey the urgency of our mission. You will have the opportunity to connect directly with people who want to get involved in this important cause and inspire them to take action themselves.

How are you contributing to change?

Through your moderation, you create platforms for education and engagement. You give participants the opportunity to learn more about the cruel reality of deportations and how the ComeHome Association is trying to help these children with courageous initiatives. Your role is to open up the space for in-depth conversations, answer questions and show the audience how they can make a difference themselves.

Your main tasks and responsibilities

  • Moderation of information evenings: You will take charge of physical events as well as online sessions via platforms such as YouTube Live and other video live streams. You present the content in a clear and inspiring way and create an atmosphere that encourages reflection and action.
  • Conducting workshops: You will organize and lead workshops to educate participants about the challenges and humanitarian efforts of the ComeHome Association. You will make these workshops interactive and educational to encourage participant engagement.
  • Interaction with the audience: You are in direct contact with the participants, answer questions, moderate discussions and promote a

Your qualification and the “Nice to have”

  • Communication skills: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in German, ideally also in English. You can convey complex topics in an understandable and empathetic way.
  • Moderation experience: Ideally, you already have experience in moderating events and workshops and feel confident in dealing with different target groups.
  • Technical understanding: You are familiar with online streaming platforms and have basic knowledge in the use of presentation tools.
  • Empathy and commitment: You are strongly motivated to support humanitarian causes and can respond empathetically to the stories of those affected.
  • Organizational talent: You have good organizational skills and the ability to plan and execute events effectively.
  • Team player: You are willing to work closely with a dedicated team and react flexibly to challenges.
